Please follow these instructions carefully so as not to damage your timepiece.
NOTE: Do NOT try to adjust the day function if the time on your watch is between 9:30 P.M. and 12 A.M. (Midnight) Doing so may damage the mechanism as the day function is engaged at this time for changing over to the next day.
ALSO, you must not try to change the position of the moon-phase disk when the time on the watch is between 3 A.M. and 4 A.M. Doing so may damage the moon-phase mechanism.
Button and pusher descriptions:
A: Chronograph pusher to start and stop chrono.
B: Winding crown to wind, set date, set month, set moon-phase and set time.
C: Chronograph pusher for resetting chronograph only.
D: Recessed pusher for setting the day of the week.
Setting the time:
Pull the crown (B) to the second position and set time clockwise only. Care must be taken not to move the hands counterclockwise too far as they may go past midnight into the previous day and damage the date or moon-phase mechanisms. Notice that the seconds hand will stop running as this movement is equipped with hacking seconds.
To set the time precisely, pull the crown out to the second notch when the seconds subdial is exactly at 0 (zero). Then, proceed to set the time on the watch, let the minute hand pass the correct minute by a minute or so, then move the hands counter clockwise (backwards) and set to the exact minute. When your time source reaches the exact time, push the crown in fully. At this point, your watch will be synchronized exactly with the time source.
Setting the date, month and moon-phase:
Pull the crown (B) to the first position and turn it downward to change the date. Continue turning the crown to set the month. Example, if the watch is currently set to October 25th and it needs to be set to November 8th, you must turn the crown downward until you go through the remaining dates in the month of October and change into the month of November.
Turn the crown upward to change the moon-phase.
Setting the day:
Push the upper left corrector (D) with the push pin provided with your timepiece to set the day of the week. Please read the warning above.
Common questions and answers:
Q: What do I do if I need to set my watch between 9:30 P.M. and 12:00 A.M. (midnight) or between 3 A.M. and 4 A.M.?
A: Pull the crown out to the second position, and advance the time until the date and moonphase have changed. After doing so continue advancing the time until it is past 4 A.M. This will now allow you to set your watch and calendar/moon-phase functions without causing damage to the timepiece. Setting the time on the watch between these hours will not damage the movement. This precaution is solely for setting the calendar and moon-phase mechanisms as they are engaged for switching between these hours.
Q: Can I press the chronograph buttons while I am setting the time on my watch?
A: We advise you NOT to do this. Doing so may cause damage to the mechanism.
